Practice the transformation using these TYPE(a) VERBS. First, try to make the expression for yourself. Then listen and repeat.

buy                       か う ×３wash                     あら う ×３

Among the VERBS that end with the［-iる］ or ［-eる］ sound, which are supposed to be TYPE(b) VERBS,there are some exceptions that belong to TYPE(a) VERB group.

Practice each VERB at least three times.
run     はしる［は sh iる ］×３ go/come home かえる［か eる ］×３
enter   はいる　 ［は iる ］×３ need               　いる　　［ iる ］×３
cut       　 きる　   ［k iる ］×３ know                 しる　[sh iる ]×３
