FINAL Japanese VERB Conjugation & Review of the Basic Program

UNIT 1-3 Japanese VERB Forms and Types

Here, you will learn how to distinguish VERB types and how to change each type of VERB into the「ますFORM」. To fulfill this purpose, many new VERBS will be introduced; however, the concrete idea of how to use them will not be introduced in this program. Thus, please treat most of them as merely materials for practice.

Japanese VERB TYPES: TYPE(a)TYPE(b)TYPE(c)

TYPE(c) VERBS are irregular VERBS. There are only two irregular VERBS in Japanese.

do     する×3       come     くる×3

To use VERBS in conversations, you have to change them into the 「ますFORM」. You will find already familiar expressions in the chart.

  DIC FORM   ますFORM   V・ます   V・たいです
  する     ・ます   ・たいです
  くる     ・ます   ・たいです
                                *V=VERB in the「ますFORM」
