Each VERB has another form called the
「DICTIONARY FORM」. All VERBS appear in this form in a dictionary.
That is why it is called the 「DICTIONARY FORM」. This means, you cannot find the expressions like 「たbeます」 or 「のみたいです」 in a dictionary.
All Japanese VERBS in the 「DICTIONARY FORM」 end with one of the following [u]-column
syllables.
